Privacy and Confidentiality at PCCF

At PCCF, we deeply value and respect the privacy, confidentiality, and dignity of families, children, and young people, as well as our staff. We handle personal information with the utmost care, in full compliance with relevant State and Federal privacy legislation.

  • Purposeful Collection: We collect only the information necessary for safe and effective service delivery.

  • Secure Use: Information is used solely for the purpose it was collected and is securely stored.

  • Clear Communication: When collecting your information, we will explain the reasons for collection and how it will be used.

  • Voluntary Media Consent: Photos or videos of families, children, and young people will only be taken with full and voluntary consent.

Information Sharing

  • Informed Consent: Information about families, children, and young people will only be released to others with informed consent.

  • Emergency Situations: Information may be shared in emergencies or when required or authorised by law.

 

Access and Correction​

  • Your Rights: Families, children, and young people have the right to access the information we hold about them and can request updates or corrections, subject to certain exceptions. 

  • Information Deletion: When information is no longer needed for its original purpose, we will securely destroy or permanently de-identify it.

Confidentiality Commitment

All PCCF staff are expected to uphold and maintain confidentiality regarding personal information at all times.
